Think about it. You've got extended families to coordinate (and we all know how that goes), everyone's got their own ideas about how things should be, there are traditions to honor, vendors calling you constantly, multiple events happening back-to-back, and literally hundreds of tiny decisions. What should be this joyful celebration? Yeah, it starts feeling more like a second job you definitely didn't sign up for.
That's exactly why we started Sharda Weddings. We're not trying to be some fancy corporate event company with big offices and all that. We're just a team that gets it - we understand what Indian weddings are really like, with all the emotional drama, cultural importance, and practical headaches that come packaged together.
How It Started
How This Whole Thing Actually Started
So this is kind of a funny story. Sharda Weddings didn't begin with some grand business plan or investment pitch or anything like that. It actually started super casually - we were literally just helping out friends and family with their celebrations.
In the beginning, it was really simple stuff. My cousin needed help with their wedding planning, then a neighbor asked if we could assist with an engagement party. We weren't even thinking about starting a business back then, honestly. We were just doing what felt natural — helping people we cared about pull off beautiful events without completely losing their minds in the process.
After a while though, people started noticing something different. The weddings we helped with just... worked, you know? Everything flowed smoothly, families actually looked relaxed (which if you've been to Indian weddings, you know is pretty rare!), and guests were genuinely having a good time instead of being confused about what was happening next or where they were supposed to be.
Word got around pretty organically after that. One family would recommend us to another, then they'd tell their friends, and slowly things just grew. We didn't put up any ads or do marketing campaigns - it was all just trust and people talking to each other. Even now, like 80% of our clients come from recommendations, which honestly means way more to us than any award or certificate ever could.
Today we've got over fifteen years of solid, hands-on experience working mainly in Lucknow and Prayagraj. We've done all kinds of weddings in this time - intimate family gatherings with maybe 50-60 people, huge multi-day celebrations with 10,000-15,000 guests, complex destination setups in places we'd never been before, traditional ceremonies with every single ritual done exactly right. You name it, chances are we've probably handled something similar.
Look, we're not going to sit here and claim we're the biggest or fanciest wedding planners in the city. That's not what we're about and honestly that's not what matters. What matters to us is making sure every wedding feels personal and authentic to the couple. This is YOUR celebration, YOUR family's story - it should feel like that, not like some cookie-cutter template we pulled out of a folder.
